The minivan dropped us at the border with Kyrgyzstan and from there we walked two kilometres until getting to the inmigration office. We handed our passport and all the process was very quick and easy. Outside, there are lots of types of vehicle, taxis, minivans and trucks. I have heard that it is possible to hitchhike there but we didn’t try that option. For us, it was not the time, it was getting late and it was cold and windy. We took another taxi to Osh. It involves going up the mountains to more than 3500 metres high along part of the Pamir Highway (M41). The landscape is changing all the time from dried mountains, to red rocks, and then the landscape becomes white, just snow and ice and clouds. From snow capped mountains, to burgundy giant rocks or green fields with beautiful tall and shiny horses, the scenery on the M41 from Osh to Bishkek is pretty magic:
